Dundonald House Accommodation
Our bedrooms at Dundonald House have been designed with the residents needs and wellbeing at the centre of our ethos. Bedrooms have been tastefully decorated to a high standard with bedroom furnishings, a specialist bed, nurse call system, and an accessible ensuite are included in all rooms.
Before Moving in
Deciding to move into a Care Home is a major decision, at Dundonald house we will ensure you have all the information you require to assist you in making that decision. If you are unsure or wish to discuss any aspects of the information provided, the Home Manager or Administrator will be happy to talk with you in person.
Prior to your admission to the Home, you will be visited by a Senior member of the Nursing Staff who will discuss your Care needs with you, if you are willing and give your consent, she will also contact other Professionals involved in your care. Such as your Social Worker, G.P, or Community Nurse. Any information exchanged will be treated in the strictest confidence. This allows us to ensure we can provide you with a plan of Care that can support your needs now and in the foreseeable future.
Bedrooms
All rooms have en suite facilities. TV points and telephone points. You can arrange to have a phone and internet access in your room. You will be responsible for the costs of BT installation, calls and line rental. You are able to bring your own personal possessions with you, you can also decorate your room as you choose, if you do not like, or wish to change the current decor we can arrange this for you, you will be required to meet the costs of this. All rooms within the Home are cleaned daily, by our Housekeeping staff. Cleaning will only take place at a time that suits you.
Dining
You can choose to have your meals in the privacy of your own room, or in the dining room if you wish. If you have visitors during mealtime you can have your meal with them in your room. Snacks, tea, coffee, and juices are available 24 hours to residents within the satellite kitchens in each area of the Home. Visitors can also use these areas to make a snack or drink.
Coffee Shop
The coffee shop provides a wonderful social space within the care home and is used extensively by residents and visitors. There is garden access to outside seating area and path to sensory garden, weather permitting. The coffee shop sells a wide range of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks to suit all tastes, and is open 7 days from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Gardens
Dundonald House enjoys extensive landscaped gardens around our two buildings, with many seated areas for residents and families to enjoy. We also have a small children’s play park and putting green.
Trial Visits
You will also be offered the opportunity to visit the Home and view our facilities. You may wish to chat to other Residents to get their views on Dundonald House.
