Management
& Staffing Arrangements
At Dundonald House we specialise in providing care to residents who may have a complex range of needs both physically and cognitively. Therefore, we retain a blend of RMN and RGN nursing staff who have particular expertise in supporting residents with a cognitive impairment. We also provide additional training to care and activities staff in Dementia Care via in house and outside agencies. We work closely with other health care professionals such as GPs, Social Workers and other outside agencies to ensure the care we offer is based on current best practice.
Support Arrangements
You can be confident before moving in that we will meet your support needs and personal preferences. Staff will develop with you a personal plan that will detail your needs and preferences and sets out how they will be met, in a way that you find acceptable.
How do we do this?
Prior to being offered a place at Dundonald House the Manager will discuss in detail with you and where appropriate, with your consent, with other significant people who are involved in your care. A nursing assessment of your needs will be carried out at this time.Following this a plan of care will be made with you to clearly set out how your needs will be met. At Dundonald House we use a comprehensive Documentation System that covers all aspects of your Daily Life. You will have the opportunity to be involved in completing this plan and will be asked to sign the plan once completed. Your plan of care will be reviewed with you every 3 months or sooner if required. We will also, if you are willing, involve your family in helping us develop a plan of care that suits your needs.
